UEFA Champions League Prize Money 2017-18 Distribution


Champions League is one of the most watched tournament worldwide it held between domestic clubs of Europe. Well heavy budget prize money adjusted for the winners and teams that qualify for champions league. The total amount that is suggested is (€1.31 Billion) which is distributed in two ways fixed amount and market pool. There are 32 teams take part in the group stage of the Champions League. The winner of the it later qualified for the UEFA Super cup and Fifa Club World Cup.

There is 13% increase in the tournament prize fund. Last year Real Madrid collected the winning amount €15.5 million and Juventus who finished runner-ups earned €11 million. Real Madrid are current defending champions and they have won two times in a row 2015-16 and 2016-17.

Football clubs that will made to the group stages get paid (€12.7 Million) and each victory will popup their account with €1.5 million. If the match ended as a draw then both of clubs will received €500,000. Clubs that will not make to the group stages of champions league and lost in third round earn (€3 million) and those who win the play-off round earn (€2 million).

Those who reached the round of 16 will received (€6 Million) and €6.5 million will be divided among each team who made to knockout round. Four side who left in the tournament and play the semi final matches get (€7.5 million). Two teams who reached the final the winner of the match received (€15.5 Million) and losing finalist received (€11 Million).
