The winner of competition collect (£400k) earnings from the prize money while runner-up received £170k. The total prize money for PDC World darts championship increased upto (£1.8 million). The winners prize money share increased from £350,000 to (£400,000) almost 25% extra. Alexandra Palace is the place where all competition match will be played. The event began on 14 December and the final match take place on 1st January.

The players who lost the semi final earn (£85,000). The four who knocked out from quarter finals earn (£40,000) from the prize money share. In the competition players who lost their matches in 3rd round collect (£27,000), 2nd round losing players collect (£18,500). Those who suffer defeat in first round of the tournament earn (£11,000).
