Best field hockey teams from Asia will compete in the (Asia Cup) 2017. The event is hosted by Bangladesh, the winner from this event will qualified for the FIH World Cup 2018, which will be played in India next year. All matches will be played in Dhaka, only one venue selected for it. It is the only chance for the team of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Oman, and South Korea to qualify for the World Cup 2018.
There are total 8 teams that will participate in the tournament. India is already make qualification as they were the hosting nation. Pakistan are one side who are looking motivated for this event. If this time they fail to achieve their winning target against teams like Japan and South Korea they will be knockout from Asia Cup.
