England Cricket Players Salaries 2017-18 (Contracts Details)


England is one of the best cricket teams in the world. They prove with some outstanding performance throughout the year in 2016-17. Recently they have given new contracts to their players and also increase salaries of some cricketers. They have recently lose their rankings in (Test and ODI cricket) due to some poor performances. The skipper of the team gets bit higher salary because leading team from front.

There are three types of contracts that are awarded by ECB to the English Cricket Team:
W: White-ball
T: Test
I: Incremental

Test Cricket Contract Holders:
Test contract mostly given to fit players for five days match. They mostly selected for the test matches by the board in regular series. They get bit higher pay-scale average then the players that uses to play (ODI and T20 matches). Each player who gets a test contract have 12 month deal. He will earn retainer fees of (£900,000) at the end of the year. If he gets extension in his contract he will be awarded with some extra cash money on base of his performance in form of (bonus money).

White-ball Contract Holders
As you see in the given table of English cricketers salaries. Salary cap of the team skipper of England is 30% more then of the other professionals who holds contract with England team. The second category of contract is white ball contract, these are entry level players, recently debut in the International cricket they mostly selected for the ODI matches, if there performance is better in 5-10 matches they also make their place in the T20 squad of England. Each player who holds white ball contract make (£7,500) per match after new contracts extension from 2020.

Incremental Contract Holders
Incremental they are young and mostly paid county team salaries. Recently some wage announced for the players who got selected on under Incremental contracts. They mostly played in the T20 and ODI matches very few of them get contract extension or placed in test team. Once they become professional in batting or bowling they earn their Test and White ball cricket contract.

Extra Bonus Prize Money Share:

Just like the other teams, England cricket players also earn bonus, there is 10% extra salary for the bowler who took (5 wickets haul) in a match, a batsman who score (100, 200+ runs in Test) match make 15% extra bonus money with his salary. If the England cricket team won any major International tournament players get 25% share from the prize money as sources claimed. There 100% extra bonus and salary increment for the players who helps England for winning the Ashes series against England.
